The exterior is made up of simple shapes that wrap around the existing buildings.
The curved shape of the building makes circulation a pleasurable experience. The vast use of timber and natural light creates a bright and comfortable atmosphere. North-facing glazing is shaded, with the exception being the windows facing the courtyard/atrium. The atrium allows for natural light to enter into the building, which works as passive heating during the winter.
Window elements in the lecture hall lets in diffused light from the south-facing hallway.
The corridor goes all the way from one end to the other, making it easy to navigate through the building.

The school connects the NIDA building, the Squarehouse, the Roundhouse and UniGym. The curved shape allows International House (west from Roundhouse) to be relatively unaffected by the new development.
